Cybersecurity is an extremely sensitive area that requires secure communication, data integrity, access control and continuous security monitoring of control centers, substations and generation units. To offer a fully integrated market solution, which meets the prerequisites established by the National System Operator (ONS), and protects companies in the electric sector against cyber threats, Siemens and TI Safe signed a strategic partner, which was detailed during the event online this month by the two companies. During the webinar, Marcelo Branquinho, CEO of TI Safe, pointed out that it is impossible to implement effective cybersecurity in an industrial plant without the participation of the manufacturers of the installed equipment. As Siemens holds 50% of the market share in the electric energy sector in Brazil, the union of the two companies' portfolios will enable the implementation of a series of cyber security solutions that are specific, with peculiar characteristics for generation, transmission activities and electricity distribution.
