The city of Curitiba will host the fourth edition of Latin American Conference SCADA Security (CLASS). It will be between 26 and 28 May 2020, at the FIEP System Event Center, Curitiba, Paraná. CLASS, which ranks among the world's top cyber security events for Industrial Control Systems, is promoted by TI Safe every two years. “The main objective of the Conference is to disseminate the culture of industrial cyber security among critical infrastructure companies operating nationally and also from neighboring countries participating in the event. In addition, it helps to promote and consolidate the image of these companies in the sector ”, explains Marcelo Branquinho, CEO of TI Safe.
In addition to the exhibition area, from theater to seminar, there will also be a complementary space for partner presentations and training. Sponsors will have access to a select group of clients, thereby widening the circle of relationships with security and automation professionals, as well as broadening brand visibility by presenting a portfolio of solutions to a select audience. “CLASS will be an ideal environment to generate new business opportunities and accelerate existing ones,” says Marcelo Branquinho.
To define the syllabus of the next edition, the organization had the effective participation of the public. “In the last edition of 2018, the event satisfaction survey pointed to 96% approval of the lecture themes. But we want to reach 100%. For this reason, through an online survey we asked for indication of priority issues and conference agenda suggestions ”, said Marcelo Branquinho
The central theme, based on the poll results, for the next conference was “Digital Transformation and the Impacts on Industrial Cyber Security”.
The Seminar's syllabus covers subjects covering Risks and Compliance, Industrial Cyber Security Planning, Industrial Cyber Security Controls, and Industrial Cyber Security Monitoring (see details below). Lectures will last 30 minutes plus 30 minutes for questions and answers.
On 2018, CLASS featured 10 Platinum sponsors and seven supporters and about 350 visitors per day of the event. The audience expectation for the CLASS, 2020 edition, is about 400 people per day, comprising industrial directors, CSOs, CISOs, CIOs and Automation managers of national critical infrastructure companies (Brazil) and neighboring countries (LATAM); federal government security bodies, industrial automation and information security organizations; Industrial Automation companies, local and international press.
