The Hannover Messe 2019 numbers (HM19) impress. At five-day event, 215.000 participants were from 95 countries, 80 forums and conferences, 6.500 exhibitors from 75 countries, 500 examples of practical innovation applications for 4.0 industry and more (check out full infographic:Datasheet HM19. In the evaluation of Marcelo Branquinho, CEO of TI Safe, company that this year occupied a prime space in the exhibition area (see in the article "No" Red Carpet "TI Safe exposure is highlighted by addressing the central theme of the event"), HM19 has achieved the goal of making digital transformation tangible. This year, the most important topics covered were artificial intelligence in the industry and robotics, the potential of the new 5G mobile communications standard for industrial applications and the future of work at a time of increasing digitization. At the opening ceremony, Angela Merkel, German Chancellor, and Stefan Löfven, Prime Minister of Sweden, spoke about this tangible future, which is already in the process of being implemented. The example of Sweden, as an automated industry and model to be followed, was one of the highlights. While much of the globalized world cares about robots taking on the work of humans, the Swedish social welfare system has made the country an unlikely place for concerns about automation. There, and throughout the rest of Scandinavia, employers fund professional training programs and employees are receptive to the absorption of new technologies. This is particularly crucial in mining, an important industry in that country, and it is companies' way of ensuring profit and increasing efficiency continuously.
