TI SAFE and SENAI-CIMATEC reinforce the partnership in cyber security for the electricity sector

Executive training that already incorporates the effects of the ONS Operational Routine regulation

Launched in the second half of 2021, the Cybersecurity course for the electricity sector is the result of a partnership between the educational institution SENAI-CIMATEC from FIEB (Federation of Industries of the State of Bahia) and TI Safe. For João Marcelo Silva Souza, High Performance Processing Manager at SENAI-CIMATEC, TI Safe's in-depth knowledge in the mission-critical sector was a fundamental basis for preparing the training. "The electricity sector is quite complex and comprises several technologies and approaches from Information Technology (IT), Automation Technology (TA), Operating Technology (TO), Cloud (cloud), IoT (internet of things), 5G , among others. And TI Safe, for bringing together monitoring and control solutions in all areas and being a reference in security for automation and for the industrial sector, lays the foundation for this course”, assesses João Marcelo.

The training has an extensive list of invited specialists and is aimed at executives and leaders of companies from different segments of the electricity sector.

According to João Marcelo Silva Souza, the course presents, in a dynamic, didactic and applied way, the security concepts and theories inserted in the context of the electric sector. “The objective is to sensitize leaders and senior management within corporations in relation to critical issues”, explains João Marcelo. And it details: "For the incorporation of the RO.CB.BR.01 was performed a technical, situational, economic and cascade approach to the effects of the ONS routine”. The Cybersecurity course for the electricity sector is aimed at decision makers in the formation of an ecosystem in cybersecurity for internal technical training, generation of services and research that are essential for the digital world.
